Nasolabial Folds: Treatment Options

cosmetic dentistry

There are many treatments for nasolabialfolds. There are several types of procedures, including Dermal fillers, Thread lifts, and Botox. These procedures are designed to provide short-term results and can leave your folds looking bulky if they are repeated.

Fat transfer

There are many ways to fat transfer to the Nasolabial folds. One of the most preferred methods is to use a small needle in order to inject fat directly into your nasolabial fold. This procedure is more natural-looking and has the benefit of lasting results. Fat is generally transferred from an area of a body that is not visible to naked eyes, such the buttocks/thighs or hips.

Proper placement is key to achieving optimal results. The grafts must be placed in the proper locations, avoiding muscle tissue and adjacent cheek or lip tissue. If the grafts don't go where the patient desires, they may not deliver the desired result.

Thread lifting

The Thread Lift is a simple procedure to improve the appearance of your nasolabial wrinkles without having to undergo surgery. Most people are able go back to work immediately following the procedure. It is important to restrain from vigorous activity for the first few days following the procedure. For the first 24 hours, it is best to avoid applying make-up. After a threadlift, patients might experience swelling, bruising, and dimpling. However, it is not uncommon for patients to feel tightening and tenderness.

A Thread Lift is a relatively affordable procedure compared to other forms of plastic surgery. The procedure takes only a few minutes and does not require any anesthesia. The temporary results can last anywhere from 6 to 12 months. The number of threads used will determine the cost.

Dermal fillers

The use of dermal fillers to correct nasolabial (or wrinkles) in the corners and nose are called dermal fillers. These folds result from collagen loss in the skin, repeated facial movements, and other factors. They can also create shadows that are not flattering and make the folds more visible. The appearance of the hands can be improved with dermal fillers. The treatment can restore volume, giving the hands a plump look.

Nasolabialfolds are a common form of facial wrinkles that can lead to self-consciousness. Premium dermal fillers can improve the appearance of nasolabial wrinkles. These treatments can reduce wrinkles around your mouth and rejuvenate the skin. Albany Cosmetic and Laser Center may be able to assist you in determining the cause and suggest the best treatment.

Botox

Surgical procedures are another option for treating nasolabial folds. These folds are most commonly caused by ageing and sun exposure. Botox is used in these cases to smoothen the folds. It can also be combined with fillers, such as Restylane. Botox injections will be available at most cosmetic centers, including Omaha Face Plastic Surgery (Med Spa) and Med Spa.

Botulinum Toxin A was originally described in the medical literature. Since 1992, it has been used for treating facial folds. This procedure has improved over time and can now be performed by qualified aestheticians. A skilled cosmetic surgeon can determine the exact location and amount to be used. The procedure can be expensive and is not suitable for every patient. Patients are usually able to return to their normal lives after treatment.
